College Credit for Prior Learning
As an accredited university, Bellevue University can assess corporate training programs for potential college credit. We also work with your employees to assess
potential college credit they may have earned through previous education and experiential learning (our Experimental Learning Assessment).
Bellevue University recognizes that learning happens in a variety of venues. We offer flexible credit transfer options from many of these sources of learning:
- Transfer credit from other accredited institutions
- Associate's degree from a community college
Regardless of what associate's degree you earn, as long as it is from a regionally accredited community college, all of the credits in your degree are welcome and
accepted at Bellevue University.
- Credit by examination
Including CLEP and DSST
- Military credits and training
- Corporate training, licensing, and certifications
- Experiential Learning Assessment (ELA)
Bellevue University students may earn academic credit for learning they have acquired from work, training, outside activities, and other life experiences. Through
the ELA process, students petition for credit for college-level learning they have acquired outside of the traditional classroom.
- Online general education core
Bellevue University offers clusters of general education courses which transfer directly into their accelerated bachelor's degree completion programs.
